Originally from Stockton, California, Kaitlyn Moccia is an interdisciplinary artist based in Lower Connecticut and the Hudson Valley. With a BFA in Theatre from Texas State University, her background in performance and costuming continues to shape her approach to design.
Her work focuses on ceramics and painting, with an emphasis on color relationships and the tactile process of creating. Kaitlyn has over two years of experience painting bisqueware ceramics and is currently expanding her practice through self-taught handbuilding and wheel-throwing techniques.
She’s drawn to saturated, exploratory color combinations—often working with triadic palettes and confident, free brushstrokes to create pieces that feel lively and grounded in a sense of craft.
